Natural Pest Removal and Deterrent Strategies

Welcome to my blog—unless you are a cockroach. If you are a cockroach, prepare to get crushed! As you can probably already tell, I hate bugs. I have nothing against smashing them flat and dead. However, I am also an environmentalist, and I don't like the idea of using potentially harmful chemicals to deter, kill or remove pests. If you feel the same way, this blog is for you. I am going to explore everything from natural remedies to get rid of bugs to tips on choosing an environmentally friendly pest control person. Whether you have mice, rat, cockroaches, ants or other pests, I hope this blog helps you get rid of them naturally and efficiently!

Four Lesser Known Signs That You Need Pest Control

Blog

Pest control can seem like a big step for most people, but it is essential in protecting your property and family from rodents and insects. Here are some lesser-known signs that you need pest control:

1. You May Need Pest Control If You Hear Scratching In The Walls Or Floor

If you hear scratching and rustling noises in your walls, it is likely that you have rodents. Mice and rats love to live in the walls of homes because they provide cover from predators and easy access to food. If there is food in your home, then it is only a matter of time before these rodents will find it. The problem often starts with just one or two mice or rats, but once they get into the walls and attic of your home, they can quickly multiply and start to spread all sorts of diseases.

2. You May Need Pest Control If You See This Evidence Of A Rodent Infestation

Rodents tend to leave behind droppings wherever they go. These droppings are small black pellets that are usually found in large numbers near where the rodents sleep or eat. Another sign that you may have a rodent infestation is that you find bits of chewed-up cardboard and other items that look like they have been gnawed at.

3. You May Need Pest Control If You Have Unusual Water Problems

Are there water puddles forming on top of your roof? Is there water pooling around your foundation? If yes, then you have a major pest problem. Especially if these things happen during dry weather conditions.

Birds and rodents often chew on gutters and roof tiles, causing water to pool in different areas of the house. This can lead to serious health issues too. For instance, a moist environment can pave way for mould growth.

If they ate away at the wood around your walls and foundations, this can cause structural damage over time as well.

4. You May Need Pest Control If You Notice Strange Smells

A strange smell can also be an indication of a problem with pests. For example, when cockroaches come into your home they leave behind an oily smell that often goes unnoticed at first but is unmistakable once you know what it's like. Pest controllers will also notice this smell and then identify the source of the problem.

Many people don't realise that they need to employ the services of a professional pest control company until it's too late. The damage has been done and the pests have multiplied so much that they're now everywhere.

If you notice any of the above signs, It is important that you learn how to recognise the signs of a potential pest infestation and call in a pest control specialist as soon as possible.
